Teacher - Infant/Toddler

*Requirements* * Be a least 18 years of age.
* Have a CDA (child development associate) or some equivalent class (preservice).
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Complete 8 hours of pre-service training as specified in division 4 of the minimum standards.
* Background and fingerprints.
* First Aid and CPR credentials.
* Complete 24 hours in child development training every year.
* Have a positive and nice attitude with students, families and staff members.
* Most of all LOVE CHILDREN.
* Complete Center Orientation.
* New Employees are required training 24 hours with 90 days *Job Description * * Planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities for children and identifying each child’s individual capabilities and needs Provide weekly or monthly lesson plans * Creating a learning environment which assures the welfare, health and safety of all children in car * Organizing and maintaining classroom activity areas, materials, and supplies and keeping director advised of equipment and materials that need to be replaced or removed.
* Maintaining constant supervision of children Maintaining open communication with assistant teacher, working as a team to produce a positive atmosphere * Building good communication with other staff to create a professional atmosphere * Attending pre-service and in-service training as required * Understanding NC Child Care Requirements Informing the director of any classroom problems * Establishing and maintaining effective communication with parents through notes, conferences and daily communication * Recording accidents, injuries and keeping all required records * Assist upon Director’s request Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $16.
