The Children's Development Center Teacher at Raleigh Rescue Mission plays a crucial role in teaching and ministering to children and parents in the New Life Program.
This position focuses on providing age-appropriate curriculum and care to promote healthy development.

*Responsibilities:*
* Implement age-appropriate curriculum and enforce behavioral rules in the classroom.
* Meet the basic needs of children and provide them with tools and resources for learning and play.
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the interests and learning styles of children.
* Build positive relationships with children and parents, track children's progress, and report to parents.
* Manage classroom activities, maintain cleanliness, and facilitate developmental milestones.
* Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and encourage social interaction among children.
* Ensure child safety and follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
* Maintain inventory of classroom materials and supplies.
* Assist in the organization of special events and welcome and support volunteers.
* Communicate effectively with the Children's Development Center team and other staff members.
* Participate in meetings, trainings, and provide transportation for children to special appointments if needed.
* Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in any area of the Mission as required.
*Required Competencies:*

*Experience:*
* Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare.
* Experience and desire to work with a diverse group of children.
* Basic computer proficiency, ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors.
* Valid NC driver's license.
* Required certifications: Qualifying Letter, TB Test, CPR & First Aid, NCID.
* Post-hire requirements: Emergency Info/Medical Report/Health Questionnaire/Prosolutions.
