Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors.
As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for campers to learn, grow, and have memorable experiences.
This is a paid position that offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, sports, and other recreational activities
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive camper behavior
- Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts or challenges
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a cohesive and inclusive camp community
- Ensure adherence to camp policies and procedures for the safety of all participants
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in a childcare or educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is highly desirable
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of different ages and backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with campers, parents, and staff members
- Ability to manage group dynamics and maintain a positive camp atmosphere
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children facing challenges or special needs
