SUMMARY:
Kennel staff members are responsible for the proper feeding and care of all hospitalized or boarded animals and the cleanliness of cages, runs and other areas of the hospital.
We are expanding our boarding department and are looking for team members to come onboard and grow with us.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides compassionate care to patients Receives animals to be admitted, is responsible for their proper identification and for recording their respective locations.
Releases animals to their owners as directed by the doctor; ensure that every animal released is clean and properly groomed.
Follows a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing all cages, runs, wards and related areas, changes litter boxes.
Feeds each animal as prescribed by the attending doctor and records appetite.
Bathes and groom’s animals as directed by the doctor, collects urine and fecal specimens as directed by the doctor, Recognizes and records any unusual condition or abnormal behavior.
Assists doctors, nurses, technicians with the administration of medications or with restraint.
Maintains cleanliness in kitchen and other relevant areas of the hospitals as directed by the Practice Manager Routine maintenance of the practice, handy work Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
Summary:
Feeding, walking, cleaning cages, cleaning litter boxes, laundry, washing dishes, restraint for dogs and cats, cleaning the hospital facilities by sweeping, moping, vacuuming.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or achieving a high school diploma within two years of hire (minimum age 16)
COMPETENCIES:
Compassion and Empathy Passionate towards animal care Ability to comprehend oral and written directions Collaboration and teamwork.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
No travel is expected for this position.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
