"The PRCR Department is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Playground Operations Crew Supervisor who will be devoted to providing natural resources management, parks management, and parks maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of computer applications and software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and City Works Work Order System.
This position requires a highly organized individual and will be required to perform special tasks during emergency and disaster events.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Directly supervise employees in the City of Raleigh’s Parks Playground Program of maintaining 77 playgrounds.
Direct crews in routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs according to NRPA and ASTM Standards.
Inspect work areas to determine the type of equipment and materials that are needed.
Interpret plans and specifications related to work being performed on various structures.
Interpret City policies for workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performances; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, staff and equipment performance, and quality of product.
Provide a spending plan for the annual operating budget as well as researching types of equipment, supplies, and materials for review and submission of the budget.
Work with internal and external customers when issues arise and in ordering equipment, tracking materials, and supplies necessary to complete assigned work tasks.
