We are looking for a Saute Cook, you will play a key role in our kitchen's culinary operations, primarily focusing on sautéing and cooking dishes to perfection.
You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare and execute a variety of menu items, ensuring high-quality food that meets our standards of excellence.
Your attention to detail, culinary skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen.
*Key Responsibilities*:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, with a focus on sautéing techniques.
Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes, adhering to established plating standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sauté station, including stocking ingredients and cleaning equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate cooking times and ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Monitor food quality and freshness, rotating stock as needed and adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients and supplies.
Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with other kitchen tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
*Qualifications:*
Previous experience as a cook or line cook, with a focus on sautéing techniques, preferred.
Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training from a recognized culinary institute is a plus.
Strong understanding of cooking methods, techniques, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail and commitment to food quality, consistency, and presentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and maintain a positive work environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Food safety certification (e.
