The Role: Software Application Architect – Content Platforms, Platform Services.
The Team: The Software Application Architect – Content Platforms & Platform Services will play a pivotal role in our strategic transformation from product to platform-centric cloud software engineering.
These efforts are occurring within the broader context of major strategic initiatives to extend our market leadership and build next-generation software platforms as we pivot to a platform company.
The Impact: As an Architect, you will work closely with Content Platforms, Platform Services, Product Management, Business Stakeholders and Technology teams on the core of the SPGlobal technologies.
What’s in it for you: The candidate will be responsible for architecting and building new platforms/products and modernizing existing platforms into new and improved platforms.
The candidate requires deep technical knowledge and experience as this position will influence several platforms which empower the various critical business processes of SPGlobal.
Responsibilities: Work closely with Technology and Program Management teams as well as various business stakeholders on server-less cloud based Content platforms/applications/capabilities like Content Creation, Newsletter platforms, Real time news platforms, Price Reporting, Core Services, Content Packaging, Distribution and Delivery Analyze business strategy and determine system architecture requirements to achieve business goals Formulate and Build - Application and Technology Architecture concepts, mapping Requirements to well defined technical components and component connectors Work with business stakeholders to establish project scope, design and architect solution, come up with estimates, communicate project deliverable timeframes and benchmarks to business as part of creating business case for initial project approvals Suggest architectural improvements, design and integration solutions, and formulate methodologies to optimize object-oriented software engineering Create architecture artifacts for Application, Technology and Infrastructure Formulate Performance Architecture concepts Create conceptual, logical and physical data modeling concepts Build Information Architecture components and Data flow, Data create and Data manage models Lead the work on different technology integration interfaces for – Authentication, Content Creation, Content Archiving, Publishing, Packaging, Enrichment and Delivery Lead the process of capacity planning and design infrastructure required for the solution implementation Lead process of identifying and building the technology/non-functional requirements What We’re Looking For: Lead the process to design and build applications based on - ASP .
NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, Python , REST/SOAP, JMS, Publish/Subscribe (Pull/Push models), Kafka , XML technologies and ORM frameworks Experience with clients-side frameworks such Angular, React etc.
Experience working for a technology company with a focus on Amazon Web Services.
AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification preferred.
Experience with designing and building server-less applications using AWS services such as Amazon API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, EC2, ECS - Fargate, S3, Step Function etc.
Should have working experience with networking within AWS.
Experience with Container Orchestration - Docker, Docker Compose, Containerization Experience in working with various databases and data architectures – RDMS, NoSQL and Graph databases Experience in working with the DevOps practices, and using tools/technologies for Configuration Management – Jenkins , Tools like ansible /Puppet, Build pipelines ( CI/CD ) for software build automation and delivery Experience in building code with security guardrails Lead and coordinate technical activities involving various teams across database, networking , development and operations View of ideas and solutions as abstractions/patterns that can be leveraged/adapted/reused -- deliver frameworks instead of point solutions Experience of architecting software solutions with demanding non-functional requirements Experience in security, single sign on, high availability, scalability, Service-Oriented/API , containers including virtualization and Micro services Hands on experience designing Rich User Interface (responsive applications) Business services (REST, SOAP), and data taxonomies and underlying support (RDBMS, NoSQL) Experience of integration patterns and technologies – REST/SOAP / Messaging / Micro services Experience working with XML based content management systems(CMS) Drive the definition and adoption of enterprise reference architectures and development standards using frameworks like TOGAF Must have a strong understanding of Source Control - Subversions, Build - Maven, Test/Automated Test/Performance Test Must have experience in preparing technical artifacts, coordinate working POCs and evolve to deployable code, ability to present designs to peers Flexible Working We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.

Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
