Durham, North Carolina, United States of America Job ID R0000021342 Category IT ABOUT THIS ROLE The Senior Desktop Engineer at Parexel plays a vital role in the ongoing development of technology solutions related to end user computing, including but not limited to desktop operating systems (Windows/Mac), modern device management, cloud managed systems, application packaging systems, as well as device hardening policies in accordance with CIS benchmarks.
The Senior Desktop Engineer will mentor, train, and support the team of desktop engineers globally, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work culture.
This person will provide escalated technical support and guidance to resolve complex desktop-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
The Senior Desktop Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage desktop infrastructure solutions that align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
This person will maintain accurate documentation of desktop configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

5-7+ years of Enterprise desktop support and/or related work experiences.
Advance experience in systems support and operations, including LAN administration, endpoint support, deployment, and user support.
Specific advanced experience is required in the following areas: PC Hardware (Intel based equipment) and peripheries; Microsoft operating systems and M365 software; application support; iOS/Android operating systems support and maintenance.
Experience supporting MacOS and hardware is advantageous.
Specific experience in managing end points with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM and/or Jamf (MacOS).
Specific experience in application packaging and deployment via centralized solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) or SCCM is advantageous.
Senior level experience supporting middleware applications and modern desktop technologies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant technical area (Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience.
