ICE of Carolinas, PLLC (ICE) is seeking a talented Water Resources Designer (EIT) to join our team and support the design of infrastructure projects in the Southeast.
As part of our team, you will work closely with Project Engineers on Design-Bid-Build alternative delivery infrastructure projects to provide technical planning, design, and construction support for hydrologic and hydraulic models, erosion control, stormwater abatement, and green infrastructure on highway, bridge, municipal street, and pedestrian projects.
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating drainage design activities, performing field investigations and assessments, preparing specifications and permit submittals, developing preliminary project cost estimates, and reviewing design work for compliance with DOT regulations.
You will also attend meetings with clients, the public, project stakeholders, and staff.
You will utilize your expertise in MicroStation - GEOPAK drainage and/or Open Roads Designer (ORD) to produce drainage designs, profiles, stormwater alleviation, and pavement drainage.
Duties will include hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, scour analysis, highway drainage design, and stormwater management while complying with local, State DOT, and NCDENR requirements for stormwater run-off.

*Requirements* * Graduated from an ABET-accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
* Minimum 3-5 years of civil engineering experience.
* Drainage design, bridge, culvert modeling, scour analysis, and erosion control experience with NCDOT projects preferred.
* Familiarity with state practices required.
* Experience with MicroStation, Open Roads Designer (ORD), HydroCAD, Geopak drainage, Hec Ras and other engineering/modeling software is desired.
* Must have math calculation skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience.
* Strong written and communication skills required.
* Safe Driving Record and current driver's license.
* US Citizen or Legal Resident required.
*Physical Demands* This position requires the ability to work in a sedentary position for up to 8-10 hours per day, as well as the visual acuity to recognize, change, and add minute details on CAD drawings.
Additionally, the job may require lifting heavy objects, excessive walking, driving, bending, reaching, pointing, or directing objects or materials.
