The Application Development Engineer (ADE) position is responsible to provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical expertise to co-engineer smart / connected products applications for the Power Products (Low Voltage) business.
The key product focus initially will be the digital load management system for motor applications – TeSys island.
The ADE will engineer and execute connected products application conversion using Schneider Electric technologies to accelerate the market adoption with targeted customers.
The ADE will occasionally travel to the customer sites to lead proof of concept discussions and advanced technical support.
The ADE will identify and qualify needs for new offer and/or functions development to better address the customer needs.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the below duties:
Programming development and advanced technical support on integration of SE connected products with third party Control platforms.
Provide technical pre-sales support to the Industrial salesforce & Product Application Engineers.
Proof of concept development to build demos to help customers visualize the main connected products concepts.
Project commissioning support, some onsite travel will be required.
Provide post-sales support by working closely with the local / global technical support team.
Create technical documents / white papers to share application knowledge, experience, customer success stories or best practices
Identify & qualify the needs for new offer or functions development to better address connected products application requirement, and work with global / local line of business to validate & create offers.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required.
An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed.
Four-year degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, master’s degree will be a plus.
8 – 10 years of professional technical experience in the Industrial segment.
PLC programming & industrial networking experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external stake holders, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple tasks from a variety of stakeholders
