Hey Friends,
I'm feeling optimistic!
I'm hoping to find someone that can help me with Spring cleaning my home and organizing my life-
As I help them with the same exactly- or else assist them in acheiviving even their loftiest goals!
I've lived alone in a nice home for 10 years- and have let the upkeep get away a bit.
(Not it a bad way- it's perfectly presentable- but I'd like to get it back to near-perfect.
) I need help cleaning, decluttering, organizing, prioritizing and scheduling improvements- etc.
For example, I've been roughly the same size for 25 years- and my wardrobe takes up two rooms?! It needs to sorted, properly laundered (it's not dirty!) tailored or tossed, and donated.
I know it must be done, but I've found every excuse not to do it.
My personal paperwork is in bad shape.
I need help with a physical filing system to match up an online system.
My garage needs organization.
My basement needs organization.
I have a powder room which needs painting, and I bought the paint years ago?! I'm genuinely embarrassed to admit it, but I will admit- that I need someone to help hold me accountable and be a focused, results oriented, taskmaster.
In a fun, positive fashion:) I'm totally ready to be living my best life and leveraging all of my gifts and skills in serving others- but the condition of my home and disorganization of my personal affairs is holding me back.
Some good news: I'm a highly intelligent, capable, handy, physically strong man- who can swing a hammer or an axe (or a chainsaw;) cut down the tree and pull the stump, run the mowers, blowers, weedeaters and pruners, clean the gutters, powerwash anything, repair a car, repair home HVAC, perform any light household plumbling or electrical work, handle software and technology, TVs and stereos, replace fixtures, replace a hot water heater, caulk a bathroom, paint a room, (and more;) and absolutely perform any demolition whatsoever.
.
.
(When I was 5 years old, my Johnston County Grandpa said of me- "That boy could tear up a cinder block with a ripe banana.
.
.
") I'm unafraid of heights, heat, cold, pests, hard work, early mornings, late nights or strangers.
If you've made it this far- I'm impressed! Although, you may also have continued reading because you've been asking yourself this question- "Well Isaac, if you're so cool and capable- why aren't your home and personal affairs all in perfect order?" And that is surely a million dollar question! But I'm not exactly sure.
Or I wouldn't be here.
But I have an idea.
I'm a dreamer.
Some people call it visionary.
Some people call it pie in the sky.
Though it does seem there's a strong correlation to which label they assign- based on my current account balances;) I do know that when I have a teammate or partner whom I enjoy working with, I am a top-performing doer.
They know how to keep the me focused and timely on the doing- while allowing space for the dreaming.
Back to business.
99% of you folks clicked on the "Gigs" link to earn some money! And I do have some money available to help secure the right help.
But, I'm in between professional roles at the moment.
I've just spent 6 months launching a new business, which failed! Yet another minor setback.
I've started and owned very successful businesses- and regrettably, failure is never totally avoidable.
Getting knocked down is a certainty.
Getting back up is the magic! I'm interviewing for some strong roles and expect to land with the right team directly.
In the meantime- and ideally for a long time- I'm throwing this 'message in a bottle' out to the universe to see if I might connect with another person who needs someone like me in the very way that I need them- and that we might compliment one another's gifts and strengths in equal measures.
My Dad was a nuclear engineer and computer scientist (clearly a super-smart, pragmatic, clear-eyed realist) who told me a half-dozen times through the years.
.
.
"Isaac, you are the most optimistic person I've ever met!?" And he always meant it as a compliment.
Do you need an eternal optimist in your life? To believe in you? To believe in your ideas? To help you form the best opinion of yourself and what you're capable of? Do you have dreams and goals and ambitions that you've let slide? Is your own home or personal affairs, or relationships not in the ideal shape that you dream of? Does your home or property need work? Do you have a small business you want to start? A small business you want to grow? A car which needs work? Art you'd like to produce? Music you need to focus on? Are you happy with your health and fitness? Maybe you'd like me to work on your parent's or grandparent's home in return for helping me with mine? I can provide assistance with any and all of those goals- in addition to Spring cleaning or manual labor.
I'm simply floating ideas, and being optimistic:) At the moment, I'm in the worst financial shape I've ever been in as an adult?! (It's not catastrophic.
) But I'm also genuinely more grateful than I've ever been- for so many reasons.
.
.
which occurs to me now as so amazingly ironic- or counterintuitive?! I have much to be grateful for.
And much to give.
I'm happy to fill you in on all the details about me, but I'll post this for the skeptical! lol I'm not a creeper! lol Romance is not my goal.
All of my neighbors- of 15 years- consider me a great neighbor! I have excellent personal and professional references.
Please send me an email introducing yourself and telling me a little about your goals- and the help that you believe you'd like to have and give, and let's see if we might be match to collaborate and create some amazing progress! Cheers, Isaac
