Catering Delivery Driver

Sassool Cafe is a family owned fast casual Mediterranean Restaurant with two locations.
We are looking to hire contract workers to deliver caterings for us.
We are needing drivers to come to Sassool Cary and pick up the food in your vehicle.
The catering manager or kitchen manager will help you with the order (it will be grouped up before you arrive).
You’ll deliver to the location and set out the food.
This entails putting out plates, napkins and forks, a catering table tent and corporate coupon cards, then hot food (light chafing stands if the customer has paid for them), then cold food and lastly desserts and drinks.
Keep in mind that Each order is different and sometimes you’ll have a very limited menu, sometimes you’ll have many different bowls of things.
We don’t expect you to be an expert with the food, but we DO expect you to place it out neatly and be pleasant while doing so.
The goal is always that the customer orders again from us.
We also expect you to wear clothes that you can work in.
Your clothing should be clean, and please wear nothing that will distract customers… you are representing the company when you do deliveries for us and we’d like to uphold a standard that is consistent with our brand.
We can provide you with a Sassool hat OR Sassool shirt if you wish to have one for deliveries.
We expect you to show up on time (communicated to you by the catering or kitchen manager) and to be focused on the delivery until it’s finished.
We expect you to drive safely and obey the speed limit.
On average you can expect to get 8 texts (delivery opportunities) from our catering manager each week.
Whoever is *first to respond* will be the person that takes it.
If you commit to a delivery but then back out with less than 2 hours before the order OR no call no show, *you’ll be removed from the driver list*— communication and dependability is key for all of our success.
For *payment*, you’ll be paid $35 per delivery in cash before you leave to the delivery location.
After the delivery/deliveries are complete you can leave from there and head on your way.
Our deliveries will go up to 15 miles away from the restaurant but *average 5 miles away*.
If a delivery is over 15 miles, you will be paid more than $35, but the amount will depend on the distance beyond 15 miles.
Before driving for us, we will need to put a copy of your License on file.
