Description
The Courier reports directly to the Director of Plant Operations and is primarily responsible for delivery services between Main Campus and the satellite campuses.
Additionally, the courier delivers to and from the Post Office and banks.
This position is assigned to the VGCC Main Campus in Henderson, NC; although, there could be some travel to other counties in the college’s service area.
Due to the nature of this position teleworking is incapable.
Travel may be required to accompany students who are being examined for licensure.

Essential Duties
Deliver materials and supplies to and from the satellite campuses.
Pick up incoming mail from and take outgoing mail to the Post Office daily.
Make daily bank deposits.
Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and move materials.
Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming freight.
Deliver copy paper to all departments.
Perform inventory counts for housekeeping supplies.
Deliver housekeeping supplies to housekeeping staff.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Previous forklift operator experience.
CDL B valid license
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions.
Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
