CDL Bus Driver - Specialized Recreation and Inclusion Services

Job Description This position will be responsible for driving a variety of sizes of buses for the Specialized Recreation & Inclusion Services program (and other program areas as needed).
The program offers day trips and outings for persons with various disabilities.
This a part-time, year-round position in which the CDL Bus Driver will transport participants to various locations within the City of Raleigh, surrounding towns as well as up to 60 miles outside of the City of Raleigh.
Duties and Responsibilities Applicants should be customer service oriented and comfortable working with people who have various disabilities.
Drivers must be able to assist with loading/unloading participants, operate the wheelchair lift, secure wheelchairs on vehicle, plan trip route, perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required documentation.
Applicants must have a CDL license with a passenger endorsement, airbrake endorsement, a clean driving record, be able to pass a background check and controlled substance test.
Work hours vary and can include weekdays, weekends, and evening hours.
