Dump Truck Job brief We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.
Stratcon Contracting Corporation has been in operation for the past 11 years.
We specialized in hauling commodities such as asphalt, millings, dirt, stone, construction debris, and more.
Utilizing 2019 and higher Quad and Quint dump trucks, we have been able to haul material on various state and federally funded construction projects.

Responsibilities  Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance  Transport material such as aggregates, asphalt, sand, soil, stone, concrete etc.
to and from jobsites  Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking and meet delivery schedules  Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
 Follow all applicable traffic laws.
 Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts  Maintain log of trips.
Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
 Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures  Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions  Collect and verify delivery instructions, take orders for new deliveries.
 Inspect their truck before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.
 Report defects, accidents or violations  Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
 Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
 Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
 Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
Requirements  Class A or B CDL  Must have a Clean Driving Record/MVR and Valid D.

 Proven work experience as a dump truck driver.
 Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.
)  Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations  No recent moving or driving violations  Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.
) Perform pre trip and post trip inspections Must complete and submit all required paperwork Must be able to climb into the back of the dump truck to clean out bed Must make sure truck is always clean and in a safe operating condition  Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations (references) Location:  Yard location 2805 Old Williams Rd, Raleigh NC 27610  North Carolina Schedule:  Monday to Friday  Nights Days and Night Weekends  Night Shifts Salary:  $20.
00-$25.
00 DOE (depending on experience) All employees are eligible after the first 90 days for a evaluation which could result in a higher payrate based on performance
