CDL Class A Driver / Farm Equipment Operator for Sod Farm

Duties: - Safely operate a variety of equipment, including truck mounted forklifts, road tractors, tractors, and other heavy equipment - Load and unload sod from trucks - Transport sod from farm to designated locations - Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles - Ensure office is informed of deliveries once completed - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck Skills: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements - Proven experience in operating various types of trucks, tractors and heavy equipment - Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to truck driving - Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record - Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to find the most efficient routes - Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues - Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of materials - Attention to detail for completing paperwork accurately Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
