Summary
Delivers materials to job site, inspects and maintains truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials.
Not a CDL driver but may require some certification depending on state law.
Essential Functions
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
Deliver materials to the job site
Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
Load finished product onto truck
Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries
Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
Other relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education – High School diploma or GED
Forklift certification preferred
Clean driving record and current operator’s license
At least 19 years of age to drive for the company
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Due to job site and Federal contractual requirements, COVID-19 vaccination strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience driving trucks for delivery
Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware preferred
Good communication skills – Proper use of company issued devices
Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
Ability to work closely & cordially with other staff associates
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day.
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds frequently.
Work Environment
Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
