NEMT Driver

*Qualifications* * Must have High School or equivalent * Schedules are Monday through Friday, and availability on weekends * Ability to be on time and provide empathy and reliability not only for passengers but also for co-workers * First Aid and CPR training will be provided * Valid Driver's license and Clean Driving Record * Submit to Random drug testing and 10 Year Background Checks * Must have a smartphone to use GPS and scheduling and vehicle * Smartphones must be capable of handling routing software *Responsibilities* * Clients will need to be picked up at home or other care facilities * Securement of passengers and any needed assistance * Passengers will need to be transported to assigned drop-offs * Every passenger, whether wheelchair or ambulatory, must be safely and properly secured before the vehicle starts * The driver will need to assist the passenger in exiting the vehicle and ensuring the person reaches the proper treatment area * Every vehicle will need to be cleaned before the passenger enters the vehicle * Provide an environment of courtesy and friendliness when transporting passengers * Must be able to operate GPS and operate company applications * Communicate details regarding transport to dispatch * Responsible for fueling, fluids, and reporting any vehicle maintenance * Maintaining continued training and applying training in transport * Handling of equipment of mobility for passengers such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes *Benefits* * Starting pay of $12.
