CDL TRUCK DRIVERS - BOX TRUCKS AND TRACKER TRAILERS - CLASS A - OTR
C TRAN EXPRESS seeks experienced Box Truck and Tractor Trailer Drivers to join our company.
You must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a DOT Physical Card.
You must also provide a 10-year MVR.
This position does require a commercial driver's license (CDL).
Your duties will include loading, unloading, and physically transporting materials and additional items, operating a box truck, and cleaning and maintaining equipment.
Our field operations expect their materials to arrive within a specific time frame, so you must be able to work independently and manage your time well.
CDL-A Truck Driver Requirements:
Must be 21 years old with Class A CDL.
5 years experience.
Must have six months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
No DUIs in the past five years.
Must pass DOT physical examination, including drug screen.
No more than three moving violations in the last three years.
Must submit to a background check.
No careless, reckless, excessive speed (15 or more) or following too-close violations within the last 24 months.
No rear-end, rollover, lost control, or jackknife incidents in the last five years.
No more than two chargeable accidents in the last three years.

Job duties for this Class A CDL position with C Tran Express Include:
No Touch Freight running the Northeast region, a combination of drop and hook and live load/unload.
Trailers are dry vans, and you will be hauling general freight and will be home every weekend.
Optional Weekend Work.
Box Truck Driver A/B
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience delivering merchandise to customers using a box truck or similar vehicle.
5+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
No accidents in the past rolling three years.
No moving violations in the past rolling three years.
Wholesale distribution experience.
Job Summary:
Makes deliveries to customers using a company-provided or rental vehicle.
Maintains records of deliveries, inspects and maintains delivery vehicles, and provides customer service on order and delivery issues.
This position requires operating a company or rental vehicle, which may be done during the average work week.
The company will continuously monitor Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) if selected for this position.
This position requires an acceptable MVR status and a valid driver’s license.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
Delivers customer orders safely within a service area, including interfacing with customers on order issues.
Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
Reviews order manifests to ensure customer orders and daily routes are complete and accurate.
Performs pre-and post-trip inspections by Department of Transportation regulations and internal policies and procedures.
Maintains routine contact with the distribution center to receive instructions on delivery interruptions, such as traffic congestion or missing orders.
Prepares and maintains vehicle and customer order records by company policies and procedures.
Contacts customers to provide updates on delivery statuses.
Provides feedback to management on escalated customer service and sales-related issues.
Nature and Scope:
Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercise some judgment per well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
Work Environment:
Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience:
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
Generally, 2-5 years of experience in responsibility.
