Class A Commercial Truck Driver

*McGill Environmental Systems is a market leader in the composting industry.
We compost residuals and byproducts from industrial, municipal, commercial, and agribusiness sources.
These materials are used as feedstocks in the manufacture of premium compost products for the professional landscape, turf grass, and government markets.
* *We are currently recruiting for a Class A Commercial Driver to join our team in our New Hill, NC facility to transport these materials in Central NC.
No overnight travel is required.
* This position is responsible for: * Valid commercial license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
* Work weekdays and every other Saturday as needed.
* Drive long distances while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
* Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by dispatch.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
* Use manual transmission.
* Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
* Work in an outdoor environment with exposure to the weather during tarping, trailer operation, etc.
The successful candidate will possess: * Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
* Ability to operate different types of trucks and trailers.
* Familiarity with load securement techniques and regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Experience with walking floor and/or dump trailer strongly preferred.
* Good mechanical aptitude.
* A minimum of 3 years driving experience.
