Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by dispatch
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and vehicle maintenance
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the transportation industry
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other technology used in the industry
- Ability to safely operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tankers
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
