To be successful as an OTR driver, you should be knowledgeable of road safety regulations and able to maintain concentration for extended periods.
OTR Truck drivers are dependable and organized.
They provide excellent customer service by properly executing deliveries and other requests for service, as scheduled.
Must be detail-oriented, efficient, demonstrate excellent time management, and have a clean driving record.
Ultimately, an outstanding OTR driver must be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as Hours-of-Service regulations.

Safely transporting containers between various locations over long distances
•
Performing truck inspections before and after each trip to ensure that all mechanical systems are in good working order
•
Carefully planning routes to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely manner
•
Maintaining the company truck, which includes washing and cleaning it, and monitoring oil, water, and tire pressure
•
Maintaining Elogs detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles covered, as well as all fuel, repair, and toll expenses
•
Promptly report any traffic violations, road accidents, and vehicle breakdowns to management
•
Notify the dispatcher of any delays that may affect scheduled delivery times
•
Safely and properly secure the containers on the company flatbed or dry van
