Essential Duties Prepare and deliver instructional, job-readiness skills that facilitate learning while incorporating technology.
Possess a thorough understanding of HRD concepts and core competencies.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Be technologically savvy and proficient in commonly used computer software.
Assist students with developing employment-related documents using technology.
Meet and collaborate with staff and community partners as necessary.
Adhere to policies and procedures in addition to protect student data and privacy.
Complete VGCC paperwork and submit in a timely manner for data entry purposes.
Provide feedback to students regarding course progressions and assessments.
Maintain suitable class records, registration forms, attendance forms, evaluation forms, etc.
Inform Prison staff and coordinator of any student issues (attendance, behavior, etc.
) as soon as possible.
Qualifications Education and Experience Required: Associate’s degree in Human Resources Development or a similar field.
A minimum of 1-year teaching experience.
Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Development National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Three years experience in the field of Human Development Resources Physical Demands Light work that includes moving objects up to 30 pounds.
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
