To assume the classroom and other assigned duties in the absence of the regular teacher.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of college (60 semester hours) or Associate’s Degree.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
Previous school/classroom experience preferred
Skills:
Highly organized
Ability to multi-task
Strong oral and written communication skills
Friendly and able to interact professionally and positively with staff, students, parents, and community members
Basic computer skills including email, internet use, keyboarding, Excel, Word
Ability to follow multi-step directions
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information
Sign in and out daily in the main office
Use the timesheet within Frontline for monthly payment
Maintain a safe learning environment and an orderly classroom
Follow the provided lesson plans
Take accurate student attendance
Perform other duties during non-teaching time as instructed by an administrator or administrative assistant other than during the scheduled lunch period
Leave a note with any necessary information for the teacher when he/she returns to the classroom
Other duties, as assigned, by supervisor/administrator.
