As a *Senior Legal Specialist *at Synchrogistics, you will play a key role in managing our legal function by staying abreast of industry legal and compliance requirements, conducting legal research, reviewing contracts, and providing valuable insights to guide decision-making in operations.
You will also oversee legal documentation, records management and compliance efforts within the organization.
This role requires critical thinking skills, attention to detail and strong organization skills.
*Key Responsibilities: *
* Cultivate a deep understanding of the legal and compliance requirements, risks, and trends in the transportation industry.
* Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various legal matters, including claims resolution.
* Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
* Maintain and organize files, documents, and databases, ensuring they are properly filed and accessible to the appropriate internal parties.
* Support compliance requirements and process development, including assisting in compliance monitoring and reporting.
* Oversee insurance coverage and liability exposure.
* Communicate with external counsel and internal stakeholders as necessary.
* Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations and risks affecting the company.
* Manage legal and compliance projects and initiatives.

*Qualifications: *
* Bachelor's degree (paralegal certification is a plus but not required with appropriate experience).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a legal or compliance position.
* Experience in reviewing insurance policies and risk management.
* Strong knowledge of legal principles, terminology, and processes.
* Excellent research and analytical skills, including experience researching statutory and case law.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $75,000.
