A Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (formerly CSAC) serves as leaders and supporters that impart knowledge and help those who struggle with addiction build a specific plan to overcome dependency based on individual needs.
The CADC will use the Twelve Core Functions which includes screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, report and record keeping, consultation with other professionals regarding client treatment and services, and referral to treat addictive disorder or disease and help prevent relapse.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities* * Individual Counseling and Support * Group Counseling and Support * Family Counseling, Training, or Support * Biochemical assays to identify recent drug use * Strategies for relapse prevention to include community and social support systems in treatment * Life Skills * Crisis Contingency Planning * Disease Management * Treatment support activities that have been adapted or specifically designed for beneficiaries with physical disabilities, or beneficiaries with co-occurring disorders of mental illness and substance use, or an intellectual and developmental disability and substance use disorder.
* Develop treatment plans and goals for the members on assigned caseload.
* Document service notes that reflect SACOT/SAIOP clinical services are provided appropriately to the goals in the PCP; keep and maintain detailed treatment and progress notes.
* Ensure compliance with Policy and Procedures regarding member safety and member rights.
* Participation in weekly staffing meetings and supervision meetings .
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*"Licensed Professional"* within the MH/DD/SA system of care: ((a) Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, Sociology, related field with at least 2 years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse service clinical service provision experience; or (b) A Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, Sociology, or related field with at least 2 years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse service clinical service provision experience.
(c) Licensure in one or more of the following categories: Psychologist (PhD-level), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Provisional-Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), nurse practitioners approved to practice in North Carolina and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an advanced practice nurse practitioner and certified in psychiatric nursing (d) Demonstrated leadership in providing clinical services and oversight, oral and written communication, time management, organizational, conflict resolution, computer (e.

Ability to generate clinical documentation of interventions and support services rendered to patients in keeping with regulations and requirements of credentialing and auditing bodies.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $35,000.
