```Duties```
- Assist optometrists in providing patient care
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements on patients, such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
- Prepare patients for eye exams by explaining procedures and answering questions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and test results
- Assist with contact lens fittings and provide instructions on lens care and insertion/removal techniques
- Educate patients on proper eyewear selection, lens options, and frame styles
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyeglasses
```Experience```
- Previous experience in an optical setting preferred but not required
- Knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and common eye conditions
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or similar software
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
