The Radiologic/Fluoroscopy Technologist is responsible for critique and performance of quality diagnostic imaging in an orthopedic setting, completion of all examinations, documentation, and accurately identifying all charges associated with studies.
This
position is also responsible for
assisting the Pain Management department with all
fluoroscopy-guided injections/
arthrograms procedures
.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm
Educational Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent required
AA/AS or BA/BS preferred
Graduate of accredited Radiologic technologist training program
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in fluoroscopy is required
Current CPR certification
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred
Licensure and/or certification as required by State of North Carolina
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform procedures including body mechanics and patient movement.
Knowledge of safety hazards and contraindications for patients and all visitors within the facilities.
Other Responsibilities:
Skill in positioning patients properly
Properly identify equipment problems and correct or notify supervisor
Equipment management (sterilization, upkeep, maintenance)
Ordering/maintaining stock of medical supplies, equipment, and medications utilized by the Pain Management team.
Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families.
