The CMA position is needed to provide clinical care to patients, including assessments and instructions as directed.

On an average day, you will:
Provide basic patient care by administering medications, as well as assist with minor medical and diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed.
Room and prepare patients for physician's examination; assist with examinations as directed.
Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients by gathering pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples.
Document assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records.
Process non-emergent patient calls by collecting patient information and provide physician-guided clinical advice.
Schedule patient procedures as requested by the physician and facilitate authorizations and referrals for managed care patients where indicated.
Accurately relay prescription refill information to local and mail order pharmacies via phone, fax or e-prescription functions as directed by the physician/physician extender and refill protocols.
Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
To qualify for this job you must have:
Ability to use manual dexterity to perform medical treatments
Dependability to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and privacy policies
Strong computer literacy with EHR experience
One year of recent medical office experience with use of EHR
Current CMA or RMA certification from an accredited organization
Current BLS certification
We’d also love it if you have:
Time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination skills
Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions
Physical requirements and work environment:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
Must be able to support at least 75 pounds to reposition, transfer, and ambulate patients safely
