Dental Hygienist

```Duties``` - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments - Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and reviewing medical history - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care - Take dental x-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures as needed - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to patients when necessary - Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic medical records - Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans ```Requirements``` - Valid Dental Hygiene license in [State] - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality - Knowledge of medical terminology, dental assisting techniques, infection control protocols, and dental office procedures - Strong patient assessment skills and ability to identify oral health issues - Understanding of dental anatomy and oral diseases - Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions and restorations - Experience with medical coding for insurance claims and reimbursement - Ability to operate and interpret dental imaging equipment Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
