Responsibilities of a Common Area Attendant include:
Working in Independent Living and Health Care of Glenaire and having knowledge of all aspects of cleaning procedures.
Providing a high level of cleanliness and service within common areas, offices, and back of house areas, as needed.
Cleaning all public and employee restrooms to community standards.
Acknowledging residents and colleagues in a pleasant manner.
Following security procedures regarding resident belongings.
Stocking of all public area closets and proactive communication regarding stock levels.
Reporting all maintenance concerns to a EVS Leader.
Stocking supplies and refilling chemicals for Housekeeping cart for next day preparation.
Complying with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Adhering to all environmental policies and programs as required.
Completing all special cleaning procedures that are scheduled for monthly, weekly, yearly cleaning.
Performing any other tasks that may be assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
Requirements of a Common Area Attendant:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Two years in a housekeeping setting in a hotel, hospital, nursing home, or contract cleaning service
Knowledge of Housekeeping equipment.
Knowledge of SDS sheets and bottle labeling.
Able to understand housekeeping chemicals and use accordingly.
