Position Summary This position will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Pediatrics through the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine under the supervision of Dr.
Schilling.
The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and conduct of multiple clinical research study protocols, including independently collecting and recording data, project administration, and communication with various stakeholders and administration of a behavioral health study intervention.
The primary project the Coordinator will oversee is an R01 from NICHD to evaluate the efficacy of a brief positive parenting intervention to decrease harsh parenting, improve child behaviors, and decrease child maltreatment.
The intervention, Child Adult Relationship Enhancement in Pediatric Primary Care (PriCARE), is a 6-session group parent training program for English and Spanish speaking parents of children ages 18 months – 6 years.
The main goals of the program are to teach parents ways to improve their parent-child relationship while also improving their child’s behaviors.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work and communicate with variouspopulations effectively and professionally.
Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team.
The ability to quickly work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate must be able to work accurately and pay close attention to details, be organized, and have excellent time management skills.
Flexibility is required for regular evening hours for study intervention administration and subject interviews.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Preference will be given to candidates with experience with diverse, low-income families though prior work, volunteer, or other experience.
Preferred candidates will also have experience and passion for the development of healthy families; will have knowledge in social work or psychology and experience delivering therapeutic interventions.
Preferred candidates will have experience with clinical trial patient recruitment, and Spanish fluency.
