Position Summary A postdoctoral research position is available in McAllister Heart Institute/Kim lab.
Endothelial cells are involved in a broad range of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases that represent a global challenge with high morbidity.
Endothelial cell metabolism is an active process, and altered endothelial metabolism drive disease progression.
Our research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of endothelial cell metabolism and how they affect cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
We leverage genetically engineered mouse models, in vitro cell culture with physiological and pathophysiological stimuli, isotope metabolite tracing, metabolomics, and genome-wide Crispr screening.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Candidates should be familiar with cell culture work, genomics, molecular biology, and mouse work.
