Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life.
Through its athletic programs, the University seeks to unite alumni, faculty, administration and students in a common shared experience.
The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics.
This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.
Position Summary The Account Executive -Ticket Sales is responsible for the following: Generate new business through the sale of season tickets, mini-packs, and group tickets.
Provide support for other sales initiatives.
Responsible for completing a minimum of 60 outbound activities per day.
Meet and exceed monthly and yearly sales goals.
Build strong relationships with assigned accounts through pro-active outreach including, but not limited to phone calls, seat visits, emails, appointments, and handwritten notes.
Assist in developing and executing customized service and touch point programs for accounts.
Properly manage and document all contacts via Paciolan and Salesforce CRM, including resolving all customer complaints, inquiries, and requests in a timely manner.
Process ticket orders and work with ticket operations staff to ensure proper procedures are met, including PCI standards.
Work home athletic events, as needed.
Readiness to be a steward of UNC Athletics in person at events and appointments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
During sport seasons position requires non-traditional work hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Travel may be required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Demonstrated organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer service skills; the ability to multi-task; experience that demonstrates the ability to organize office functions and maintain an efficient and effective office environment.
Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
Extensive computer use in a high volume, high stress environment.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in dynamic and sometimes stressful situations.
Keen attention to detail.
Position requires non-traditional work hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience with Microsoft Office products and Paciolan or other ticketing software.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and experience in an intercollegiate ticket office environment.
