Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences is the home of the faculty heavily involved in research and/or teaching in the Foundational and Biomedical Sciences.
Position Summary
This NIH funding-supported position will conduct research projects under the supervision of PI (Dr.
Aimin Peng), in cancer biology and therapy.
The research areas of the group include the DNA damage response, DNA repair, cell proliferation and signaling, and head and neck cancer progression and treatment responses.
The postdoctoral researcher will perform a variety of laboratory experiments, using molecular, biochemical, and cellular techniques, organize research data, and prepare for manuscript publication.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.
D.
or equivalent in an area of biomedical sciences such as molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or cancer biology.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with cell and molecular biology assays, manuscript preparation and publication.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in cancer biology; experience in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage responses.
