The primary duty of this job will be loading tanker trailers with bulk flour.
This will include moving trailers, assuring trailers are sanitary and dry, hooking and unhooking hoses, operating the scale, completing all necessary paperwork, sealing all hatches, hoses and transfer point and performing regular cleaning and maintenance on the equipment used.
You may also be asked to assist in the wash bay and/or fill in with delivery of flour loads.
The primary schedule will be Monday to Friday, 2nd shift, usually 3:30pm to midnight, with some overtime as the workload requires.
Requirements of a successful Flour Mill Bulk Trailer Loader:
• High school diploma or GED
• Class A CDL preferred (will earn higher wage) but not required
• At least 6 months of tractor trailer driving experience
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled; willingness to work nights
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks and successfully pass Bartlett’s road test, which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle
Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:
• Climb into and out of cab multiple times per shift
• Climb a ladder and steps 10 or more times a day
• Lift 50 or more pounds daily while climbing steps
• Drive and work in adverse weather conditions
• Hook and unhook hoses and open and close valves
