If you think the open position, you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply! We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to be a technical leader in our Product Engineering department.
This is an opportunity to use your depth of knowledge and broad expertise while taking a point position when it comes to software development.
You will be responsible for architecture design, and implementation of software to support automation for preparing and dispending oral medications.
Key Responsibilities Translate user needs and develop product requirements / specifications, working closely with the system engineering, connectivity, and Product security functions.
Lead multi-functional design sessions with functional authorities to understand and detail data requirements and use cases Detailed design review and documentation Drive long-term architecture roadmaps in alignment with corporate strategic objectives Conduct code and design reviews to ensure data related standards and best practices are met Proactively educate others on modern data engineering concepts and design Hands on engineer contributing directly towards sprint team’s backlog Mentor Junior Members of the team Master our development process, culture, and code base, then think of ways to improve and implement within the team.
Skills and Experience: A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience and domain driven development At least 3 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing Agile processes, fostering collaboration, and delivering high quality solutions Candidate MUST have experience in owning large complex system architecture Strong analytical / Debugging / Troubleshooting skills Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA, Data Protection Strong proficiency with object oriented programming like python, java, and dotnet embedded devices Strong proficiency in unit test best practices Proficiency in C#/.
NET & SQL (MSSQL and Postgres) Proficiency in modern UI stack such as Angular, React, or Vue Collaborative and informative mentality is a must! Education Bachelors or Master’s in Computer science, Information Systems, or an engineering field or relevant experience.
Bonus Points Experience in Automated Testing is preferred Knowledge of software development leveraged with hardware such as PLCs, automation robots and conveyor solutions is a plus.
Experience with application modernization including migration of business logic from database tier to middle tier.
Experience in Healthcare or pharmacy automation industry is a plus For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
