I am a vibrant and active 40-year-old woman who lives and works full-time in Durham, NC.
I have a type of muscular dystrophy and use a power wheelchair.
I love being outside as much as possible and enjoy exploring all that this area has to offer.
When possible, I love to travel and explore new areas.
I am an open-minded and forward-thinking person.
Health and wellness are important elements of my life.
I have a very diverse group of friends from all types of backgrounds and lifestyles who I value tremendously.
I am, also, a big animal lover.
I have two dogs and two cats who are very important to me.
It is important for me to know they are being treated with kindness and respect.
I am looking to hire a personal care assistant to help me with activities of daily living, such as transferring (I am not able to physically assist with the transfers) and dressing.
Other things I need help with include cleaning, food preparation, and cooking, driving me places, helping me care for my animals, etc.
It would pretty much be anything I can't do myself.
I rely on my care providers to help me continue to live a vibrant and active life.
I am looking for someone who is kind, dependable, responsible, able to follow directions, and willing to help.
Please be a non-smoker with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Please also be Covid vaccinated as I am high risk.
The standard pay is $20 an hour.
I have Thursday morning (6:30 am - 11:30 am/12 pm) as well as Monday and Wednesday evenings (4:30–9:30/10 pm) available.
