Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic nursing procedures, such as wound care and dressing changes
- Assist in the management of patient behavior and emotional support
- Provide assistance with specialized care needs, such as senior care, pediatrics, dementia care, and behavioral health
- Support patients with tube feeding and airway management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in providing patient service and working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
