We are presently sourcing for a *Part-time PRN* *Medical Assistant/Technician* to work in a fast-paced clinical setting in the *Holly Springs, NC* area.
The clinic hours are 7:00 am until 4:30 pm.
The Medical Assistant will work approximately 4-6 hours per shift to a maximum of 15 hours per week.
*Overall Purpose of the Job*
The Medical Assistant will support the physician and/or supervisor of the clinic with patient intakes and inquiries, records maintenance and basic patient screenings.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Prepare patients for examinations with physicians
· Document patients' medical history
· Assist physicians during medical examinations
· Explain medical testing to patients
· Sterilize medical instruments and equipment
· Maintain patients' medical records
· Update patients' files
· Answer phone calls and respond to emails
· Assist in injury care
· Conduct drug screenings and breath alcohol tests
· Conduct pulmonary function tests
· Handle any necessary injections (will be trained)
· Conduct EKG's
*Required Skills & Knowledge*
· Medical Assistant certificate or diploma required
· Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
· BLS
*Required Competencies*
· Previous office experience and/or medical assistant experience highly preferred
· Occupational medicine experience is a plus
· Must be dependable and reliable
· Teamwork is a MUST
· Ability to multitask and follow instructions in a fast paced environment
· Must be able to pass a DISA Drug Screen and Background Check
