Position Purpose:
Assists and works in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller to support all financial operations while focusing its primary responsibility on overseeing the grants management, purchasing and inventory of operating supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants Management: responsible for the accurate tracking of grant purchases and expenditures.
Manage and facilitate the pre-award, management, and close-out activities of federal grants and cooperative agreements, to include completion and submission of progress reports, carry forward, redirect, and no cost extension information.
Track and report programmatic and financial status of grants to include Federal Financial Report, Annual Progress Reports in collaboration with Association consultants, grants and contracts staff, and programs staff to promote compliance of grant/proposal requirements
Prepare grant budgets and reports.
Maintain grant tracking grid.
Assist with grant audits and annual audits.
Purchasing: ensure the timely and accurate management of purchasing operating supplies within budget while being fiscally responsible.
Utilize, maintain and build Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and supplier relationships to ensure Advance resources are maximized
Ensure medical, vaccines/flu, office supplies, equipment and other approved purchases are delivered timely and accurately
Inventory Management: ensures accurate tracking of all inventory and managing inventory levels to the appropriate levels set by the organization.
Other Duties:
Support Finance Department and management team with external audits, regulatory reporting requirements, ad-hoc reports and development of internal processes and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned or become necessary by supervisor

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of experience
1-3 years related purchasing, accounting or grants management experience required
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
Intermediate or higher Excel skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Purchasing and grants management experience
Non-profit and/or grant accounting experience
Non Profit accounting system experience (Sage Intacct a plus)
Experience with multiple site/multiple fund accounting
Experience with managing grants and cost centers
FQHC experience a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally roll or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee will work on a computer and simultaneously use the telephone and must have good hand/finger dexterity.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Must be willing to travel to other medical sites within communities served by Advance Community Health as needed.
Must be able to interact with other employees in close proximity and may come into contact with patients.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in a professional work environment and will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, postage machine, filing cabinets, scanners, and fax machines.
This position will be an open work environment allowing for easy access for employees to be serviced.
