We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team.
General Summary The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all areas of the projects assigned to them.
This includes projects that solely involve the IT department, or where the IT department plays a role in a larger project.
This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within a specified budget, and that all goals are met for the project.
As a part of Sunrock’s Information Technology team, the individual will work with project team members to assign tasks and create schedules for those tasks to be completed.
In this role, the IT Project Manager will use tools provided to track project performance including timeline, costs, and risks.
The right candidate for this role will work independently, but also be very adept in collaborating with others from internal and external teams.
This individual will operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
Practicing absolute confidentiality, good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other task assigned.
Typical works hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, though some after-hours work is possible in order to prevent impact to operations.
Responsibilities include: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assign tasks and track the progress of projects within Sunrock Create opportunities for collaboration and discussion to accomplish project goals Clearly define project goals and timelines for all projects Use industry-standard toolsets to effectively manage projects Work with Accounting and Finance to ensure budgetary goals are met Ensure that resources are managed effectively for the project Provide updates to the Director of IT as well as Manager and Executives within Sunrock Ensuring communication and training takes place for all relevant projects prior to implementation Provide input into strategies that deliver project success Properly engage team members and management when risks to the project occur As a part of the IT Department, work closely with the team to address any issues when necessary Build and maintain strong communications and relationship with coworkers and vendors Required Education/Experience A Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
or B.
S.
) from four-year college or university in Business Management, Information Technology, or similar degree field is required A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as IT Project Manager or similar role is required Substantial knowledge of project management software tools, such as Jira, Monday.
com, and Microsoft Project is required.
Certifications in Project Management such as PMP, CompTIA, or Agile are preferred.
Required Skills Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with examples of projects completed Proficiency in organizing meetings and brainstorming sessions for projects Expert understanding and usage of project management tools such as Gannt Charts, Kanban Boards, a Risk Matrix, and others.
