Traveling Construction Superintendent

Summary:
Are you a proactive, solutions oriented, positive, charismatic leader who knows how to get things done timely.
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects at various locations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams effectively.
This role involves frequent travel to project sites, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to Bobbitt quality of standards.
You have to be able to stay overnight, drive over 4 hours and be responsible for your expense reports.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of construction projects.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations.
Collaborate and maintain open communication with Architect, Engineer and Project Manager and other Pertinent stakeholders to ensure all requirements are being met.
Ensure that specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
Schedule and meet with Inspection Departments and Inspectors on site to achieve all required sign offs pertaining to the project.
Report project progress, challenges and updates regularly.
Implements safety measures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Complete daily job log for each location visited.
Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Abilities to work well under pressure.
Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
(ex.
Laborers, Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, Inspectors, Owners, Owner Representatives, etc.
)
Extremely detail oriented and organized.
Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Must be able to navigate a smart phone and PC.
Including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore.
Must be able to travel at least 50%of the time.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in: Construction Management, Construction Science, and related fields (and /or):
At least 4 years of experience in building trade requirements.
OSHA Certification.
Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex.
Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
), ProCore.
Work Format:
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 75lbs at a time.
Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
Must have a valid Driver’s License
