Who we’re looking for:
This position will provide professional services under general supervision.
This may include performing field investigations, analyzing/interpreting data, and preparing technical reports for services provided.
What you’ll be doing
Including but not limited to:
Performs soil and rock classification in the field and laboratory
Performs hand auger borings, standard DCP testing, and Kessler DCP testing
Site reconnaissance and boring layout
Supervises field exploration programs for transportation projects – must be willing to participate in overnight travel, and occasional night and/or weekend work
Communicates and coordinates with subcontractors
Assists with wetland delineation
Coordinates underground utility clearance
Field surveying
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geological Engineering or related field
Entry level to 4 years of experience in a related field
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
Must be able to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
