We’re currently seeking an experienced Process and IT solution architect with focus on Commercial and Supply Chain processes and applications.
The Solution / Process Architect supports the international Merz organization in the creation of Target Designs for IT applications related changes and projects.
Specifically, he/she reviews together with the functional experts the requirements and demands from different business units and support the creation of the target solution design.
During the implementation ongoing quality reviews to ensure, that the solution follows the overall guidelines.
Part of the solution design process is to ensure that all business needs and the functional and non-functional requirements derived from them are met.
The Solution / Process Architect starts his work after the requirements have been released and supports the design of the technical basis for Merz work packages in the form of projects or changes.
Together with the functional and technical experts, she/he analyses in a first step the impact of the requirements on existing Merz business services, business roles, business actors, business processes, their process flow diagrams, organizational units and locations, as well as the data, application and technology components supporting the business.
The process architects execute, after creation of the final solution design, a review and approve the design.
The process architect act also as contact person for all questions arriving from the different implementation teams and advises on functional or technical impacts and solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execute Quality reviews and approve the created solutions designs
Review based on the Merz guidelines and our governance.
Also keep the maintenance aspect after implementation as approval criteria in mind
Support and advise the delivery and functional expert team on the solution design.
Review the requirements and demands from the business and align with the experts the impact and approach for the solution.
Act as IT process manager in the area of Commercial processes (Sales, Services, Delivery) and the supply chain processes (Production, Quality, Warehouse management and Logistics, Sourcing)
Be the link between business and IT, ensure proper documentation of processes, data flows and technology architecture.
Creation and review of Process flows, data flows with a BPMN modeling tool.
Education
Degree in Computer Science / Information systems or related discipline.
Experience and Qualifications
7 plus years’ experience in a position of equal scope and responsibility
Specialized business knowledge (functional know-how) in sales, production, logistics desirable but not necessary
Knowledge of ERP functionality especially in SAP (ECC or S/4).
Experience from a functional and technical point in at least one of the following SAP Modules SD, MM, PP, QM, PM, WM
Preferable knowledge on SAP Cloud Solutions with BTP, Fiori
Information & Systems Architecture know-how desirable
Technology architecture know-how desirable
Knowledgeable of integrations with enterprise platforms, such as CRM and 3PLs
Understanding of information security and data privacy aspects and impacts of cloud applications
Alternatively, experience as a project team member, particularly for implementation of Business Applications and on large scale IT/Business projects
Very good knowledge in English and ideally in German
Expertise in pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred, knowledge of validation
Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to develop and visually present ideas and concepts to both IT and business stakeholders
Customer focus and service management attitude with a problem-solving attitude
