I have a quiet 4 br house on acre with 2 upstairs furnished rooms that I have rented for many years.
Map location is approximate for security reasons.
And house does not look like photos at this time--but will soon with your help.
I was in the middle of renovations that I was planning to finish myself when I became ill.
Most of what needs to be done is unskilled labor.
I say that because it's all things I have done in the past myself.
But some carpentry skills are needed for a few things.
What needs to be done before you could move in: - sub flooring and stairs prepared for laying 3 floors, which I will d lay myself.
- Things moved out of the room you would be in into ines with new flooring.
- bathroom cleaned - attic doorway fixed After that, we have cubby door to fix, new shed door to hang, and living room floor to replace with lock together vinyl planks.
Then at of little things.
When weather good, there's shrubs to translpant and other yard work.
We'd start with a contract agreement that you would do 40 hours to earn the next month's rent, which will start when floirs laid, stuff moved.
Receipts will be given for hours of work done, but there is no cash value if you decide not to move in.
(Before you complain about the hours to be worked, I crunched the numbers of what cash pay would be compared to a regular job where you have social security, fica, federal & state taxes withheld, and the equivalent cash salary comes out to be about $42,000 a year and based on $725 rent, even though furnished rooms for rent in my area go as high as $1,200 a month, sl it's extremely fair, especially since most of work is unskilled.
) Note the first month's work would have to be done prior to moving in, then each subsequent month's rent the same--work in advance.
That's just like a job--you don't get paid until the work is done.
But this way, you wouldn't have to fork out money for rent, I wouldn't have to fork out for labor.
Win-win.
(But clearly not for everyone, as you do have to have both time and some skills.
) There's enough work inside and out to keep someone busy for many months, at least.
Electric and internet not included in the rent, and a deposit would be needed.
This offer is for one person only at this time.
No smokers (including outdoor only), drugs, or pets (I have very old quiet dog who may not last the winter, 2 cats).
If interested, please respond with full name, age, job you have now and general hours, and a bit about yourself, such as why interested in such an arrangement.
Thanks.
