What You'll Be Doing
Health and education leaders recognize that there is a direct connection between health and learning.
The School Health Program supports the Wake County Public School System by providing case management, health education and consultation in order to remove health-related barriers to learning.
We are currently seeking a dynamic Program Assistant to support the School Health program.
In your new rewarding role as a School Health Program Assistant, you will collect and monitor School Health-related data, policies, procedures and utilize several databases.
This position also maintains School Health organizational charts and school nurse assignments, conducts research, creates surveys, develops program materials, and oversees special projects in the School Health Program.
To excel in this role you must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
Good communication skills will also be key when handling incoming calls from the public, Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) staff, local medical facilities, and various other agencies.
Other duties include assisting and monitoring School Nurse Team/Regional assignments and school assignments, accreditation audits, certifications and professional license renewals, and general office support to school health management, nursing supervisors, and the program.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Associate's degree
One year of job-related experience
Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Google
Associate degree
Strong Office Administration skill set and experience
How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
Working knowledge of policies, procedures and precedents affecting the program
Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement policy and procedural guidelines
Skill in organizing workflow and coordinating activities
Considerable knowledge of administrative and office techniques
