Essential Functions:
Manages, develops, trains, and supports staff within assigned geographic area of responsibility.
Implements environmental polices and procedures to achieve core objectives and compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintains the compliance integrity of all Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks (USTs and ASTs) and their related systems throughout assigned geographic areas.
Manages the outside relationships with Federal and State regulatory agencies.
Coordinates and oversees completeness of any submittals and close out of any compliance related issues.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with operations personnel, equipment manufacturers, government agencies, service vendors, environmental consultants and other internal departments.
Consults with Env.
Director on legal questions, obligations, policy interpretations and planned actions.
Develops reporting and audits to analyze trends and diagnose and prevent potential issues.
Works closely with Internal Departments on the planning and direction of new construction, remodels, removals, and upgrades of gasoline equipment.
Manages document / data retention, and audits, through the environmental compliance database, documentation required to verify and maintain compliance of company facilities.
May assess, coordinate, and effectively manage fuel spills, ensuring site safety and limiting corporate liability.
May assist with acquisition environmental due diligence and / or environmental remediation as requested.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and orienting employees.
Maintains staff job results by training coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
5-7 years of experience or more preferred; including minimum of 1 years of management responsibility.
Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.
Knowledge of State and Federal UST/AST regulations a plus.
Ability to read and listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals.
Ability to process information including gathering, assessing, coding, organizing, auditing, and verifying data.
Physical Demands: Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
Work requires occasional bending, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions, can be stressful.
Work may occasionally include long driving hours, week-ends and holidays.

Position required to travel periodically, estimated at 15% annually.
