Rodgers Waters Law is a Cary-based civil litigation firm that has an immediate opening for a motivated, energetic, and hard-working associate attorney to practice primarily in the areas of auto liability and premises liability defense.
We require skills in legal research; drafting pleadings, briefs and discovery responses; interviewing witnesses; and medical record and bill summarization and analysis.
This is a litigation position, requiring the attorney to conduct depositions and mediations and to try cases throughout North Carolina.
The attorney will assist the current attorneys and eventually handle his/her own caseload.
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of legal experience.
However, new admittees are also welcome to apply.
Must be currently licensed in North Carolina at the time of application.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Duties:
- Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the North Carolina State Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Prior experience in litigation and negotiation is preferred but not required
