The Associate Attorney is expected to provide competent legal representation to our probate, partition, surplus funds, and estate planning clients.
Competent legal representation should be grounded in a comprehensive analysis of the law, clear and attainable goal-setting, effective communication, and a dedication to excellence.
*Summary of Responsibilities*
The Associate Attorney is expected to offer personalized, client-focused legal services.
Responsibilities include fulfilling the standards set by clients, PLG, the State Bar, and the local legal community, while consistently aiming for a superior level of client service.
*Key Specific Responsibilities*
* Communicate with clients, heirs, and third parties regularly to fulfill their needs and expectations.
* Address and manage clients' individual concerns and expectations, including those of unsatisfied clients.
* Provide clients, heirs and third parties with exceptional legal analysis and understanding of the law.
* Draft legal documents with precision and legal expertise.
* Prepare thoroughly for all case work, demonstrating competency.
* Stay informed on legal trends by reviewing legal publications.
* Reach personal performance goals as defined by the Managing Attorney.
* Participate in firm meetings to uphold the firm’s Core Values.
* Maintain a valid State Bar license and adequate Continuing Legal Education credits.
* Observe procedural and deadline requirements of state courts.
*Qualifications Required*
* Three (3) years of probate or estate planning experience;
* Licensed to practice law in North Carolina;
* Self-motivated and organized while working through multiple projects and prioritizing tasks assigned;
* Ability to draft written communication or verbal communication with other office staff, as well as clients and opposing attorneys.
* A good sense of humor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
